FYI: NOM Supporters, We Know You Don’t Like Being Called Out; But If You’re Going to Comment Here Anonymously, Don’t Even Bother

National Organization for Marriage is having a rough year. NOM supporters are getting angrier that their tactics are no longer fooling the majority of the American people. NOM has resorted to banning people from their facebook page for dissenting opinions, not because they violated any Facebook agreements.

This blog speaks volumes of what NOM is all about. If you are going to post on this blog, be aware that posting anonymously doesn’t help. You will be outed. Just ask NOM supporter Michael Ejercito. He’s no stranger to this blog. Today, he thought he’d be crafty and anonymously post (as “I, Enemy Combatant”) his support for Wayne Cooper (the fecal-obsessed pastor from Pasadena) and post a homophobic epithet in the process (see below).

Who is Phillip Naman? Claims His Daughter Was Bullied by Dan Savage; His Facebook Shows His Blatant Homophobia

National Organization for Marriage is touting that Dan Savage accepted Brian Brown’s request for a debate.
“When Dan Savage took to his own bully pulpit to harass and demean Christian high-school students, I issued a challenge to him for a civil and adult debate on the topic of marriage. So I flew out to the West Coast to have dinner with Dan at his house, and the long anticipated debate over marriage was finally held…” -NOM’s Brian Brown

Actually, Brian Brown, it was the other way around. And there’s proof of it. But okay.

Good As You blog reported that the father in the NOM’s ‘defamation’ video of the teen girl that was harassed by Savage at journalism convention is an active Tea Party member. Okay. No surprise there. Phillip Naman recounts  about how astounded he was to find that his daughter and her cohorts were “bullied,” adding “You didn’t hear him talking about the Koran.” Turns out the father, Phillip Naman is very vocal about his non-tolerance for homosexuality, posting hateful, homophobic things to his wall. No surprise there. But again, we want to point out that he’s associating himself with National Organization for Marriage and using him to “win the culture war” in a ‘defamation’ video. And conveniently, his daughter was “bullied” by Dan Savage. They recently took Damian Goddard, a failed sportscaster from Canada, under their wing after he was let go for posting his anti-gay views on Twitter.

Over the past year, NOM has become desperate to the point they are willing to lie. Whether its photoshopping in people at failed rallies to violating campaign finance disclosure laws. Or the that infamous NOM “wedge memo” that was leaked that stated “The strategic goal of this project is to drive a wedge between gays and blacks—two key Democratic constituencies,” it said. “We aim to find, equip, energize and connect African-American spokespeople for marriage, to develop a media campaign around their objections to marriage as a civil right; and to provoke the gay marriage base into responding by denouncing these spokesmen and women as bigots.”

As of yesterday, a poll found that 0% of black voters were voting for Mitt Romney.

But back to Phillip Naman. Turns out, he’s not the much different from the very same NOM supporters who post hate speech against gay people (and President Obama) on a daily basis.

Good As You Blog made an interesting point regarding “Brown versus Savage.” Brian Brown’s sole mission in life is to basically halt or eliminate the very rights of the man he is debating. He collects a paycheck for doing so. Read about it here: http://www.goodasyou.org/good_as_you/2012/08/noms-gauche-debate-prep.html

NOM Supporters Insist LGBT Community Responsible for FRC Shooting; NOM Supporters Echo Same Sentiment That Got FRC Classified as a Hate Group.

We agree that the shooting at the Family Research Council was tragic and not the answer. While we were gathering details about the shooting, National Organization for Marriage within hours was using the shooting to paint the LGBT community as responsible and use it to their advantage. NOM even pointed fingers at the Southern Poverty Law Center over its classification of the FRC as a legitimate hate group – calling on it to drop that classification. NOM’s supporters, well-fed on Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, starting posting ridiculously homophobic comments, some that were removed by Facebook. The recurring theme – ‘homosexuals are perverts’ and that their ‘attempts at marriage are futile.’ In the end, their comments are painting an even grimmer picture of the National Organization for Marriage who in recent weeks has become so desperate – supporting Chick-Fil-A (when they insist on companies remaining neutral on the marriage issue – yet insist its supporters boycott Starbucks and General Foods). Now they want their sister organization, Family Research Council to not be considered a hate group. Yet, FRC has equated the LGBT community with ‘perverts’ and ‘pedophiles.’ And surprisingly (sarcasm), NOM supporters are echoing that same sentiment that got FRC classified as a hate group.

Homosexuality isn’t illegal. But this NOM supporter thinks so.

Rick McCarrell insists the “ss” (Same-Sex supporters) are the ones to blame. Yet, if you remember, Rick McCarrell participated in a 4-hour rant about homosexuality and anal sex. You can read it here.

Lexi Hastings, a resident NOM supporter, has equated the LGBT community to the Taliban. She has also thumbed up homophobic comments that basically state gays are solely responsible for AIDS and spread the disease on purpose. Recently, she attacked a gay couple by stating her daughter’s marriage, which she just attended, was real and theirs was not. (see below)

Somehow Kristin Small assumes she is the authority on what constitutes a marriage. Yet, she does not issue marriage licenses, only insults.

Anne Miller has a theory on gay suicides – the ones bullying aren’t to blame! How ridiculous. She insists that being gay is the cause of one’s suicide – not the people, her people and NOM. This blog documents many homophobic/bullying comments. A couple of years ago, one supporter even championed herself as encouraging gay people to commit suicide. You can read about that here. Kristin Small adds that “EVERYONE of those children were sexually abused at some point in their lives.” Wow. Just wow.

Once again, the focus returns on the anus. Anuses and glory for God in the same comment. Yet, still hate speech.

Claiming her bigoted comments don’t make her a hater. It does, Glinda Henderson Spivey. Reread the comment above this one.

Blatant racism here.

Funny how the KKK was brought up. There was a NOM supporter a few months back cutting and pasting from a white supremacist site. You can read it here.

Equating gay people to pedophiles. Yawn. However, this is common sentiment of the NOM supporters and the criteria that enabled SPLC’s classification of FRC as a hate group.

More propaganda regarding the LGBT community as ‘perverts’ and ‘pedophiles.’ To make her homophobic banter seem like “scholarly discussion,” Anne Miller posts a link. Where are they finding this stuff?! Why are they that concerned with gay peoples’ lives?

Umm, what?

Glinda Henderson Spivey and Rick Ritchie bully a marriage equality supporter who is legally married to a person of the same-sex. Where is the respect?
